Christine Lepine

Research Associate, Freshwater Institute


Christine LepineChristine Lepine is a Research Associate at the Freshwater Institute where she assists in the development and evaluation of technologies for improving water quality. Her recent research focuses on effluent water and wastewater management of recirculating aquaculture systems, primarily with woodchip denitrification bioreactors. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from Shepherd University and is finishing a Master of Science in Natural Resource and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a student, she received the 2018 Future Leaders Award from the American Society of Agronomy and more recently served for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs as a Next Generation Delegate at the 2019 Global Food Security symposium. Christine has been with the Freshwater Institute since 2014 when she started as an intern.​
